One of my favorite memories from watching games at the old Kingdome in Seattle was seeing Palmeiro take batting practice... Not because of his sweet swing mind you, but because on this particular day he was really stinking up the place and after his last round he yells out *explicative* and hurls his bat into right center field.

Re: Mechanically who was the best hitter you have seen?
Sorry I have to bump this (though it's good to have a debate every now and again), but somebody read my posts on this thread and PM'ed me a link to his buddy's hitting page a long time ago, and I'm ashamed to say I no longer have the link or the PM... nor do I remember who the person was that PM'ed me.
If that somebody sees this post, can they please send it to me again? One of the pages displayed an incredibly crucial point I need to show some of my assistant coaches and used perfect picture examples.
EDIT: Nevermind, found the person by reading the thread.Last edited by Blzer; 01-09-2013, 09:54 PM.Samsung PN60F8500 PDP / Anthem MRX 720 / Klipsch RC-62 II / Klipsch RF-82 II (x2) / Insignia NS-B2111 (x2) / SVS PC13-Ultra / SVS SB-2000 / Sony MDR-7506 Professional / Audio-Technica ATH-R70x / Sony PS3 & PS4 / DirecTV HR44-500 / DarbeeVision DVP-5000 / Panamax M5400-PM / Elgato HD60Comment

Re: Mechanically who was the best hitter you have seen?
Carlos Guillen also had a nice swing. Guys like him and Manny for example, it looks like they dont swing hard because they have such a smooth swing. Mechanically it was very sound, he stayed back so well and was able to drive the ball the opposite way.
Swing at 1:40
I was so influenced by him as a kid. I tried to get that toe tap down so hard. I even had that bat waggle my freshman year. lolJayElectronicaBluElzhi2PacTheNotoriousB.I.G.ReksSc arfaceFashawnJeruThaDamajaComment

Barry Bonds before the steroids, he had such a sweet swing, got on base and caused havoc. The Pirates of the early to mid 90's were exciting to watch.NFL:--New York Giants

Re: Mechanically who was the best hitter you have seen?
From my Junior high, High School and summer ball days:
Mark Grace (Not much pop but he could flat rake)
Will Clark (probably my favorite of all time)
Tony Gwynn (just an absolute hitting machine)
Sean Casey (was always someone I enjoyed watching swing the bat)
Manny Ramirez
Todays game:
Robinson Cano (absolutely despise the Yanks but love watching this guy hit)
Ian Kinsler (Not technically sound but I just like watching him swing the bat)
Adrian GonzalezTexas Rangers/Saints/LSU/Tottenham Hotspur
