Valverde has this coming. He was by all means awful last year, he had no clue where the ball would go when he threw it. Somehow he saved all those games and had a nice ERA.

Same today though. He lets go of the ball and from there, it's anybodys guess.

Austin Jackson played his best game today. 3 hits, and even took a few 0-2 counts, worked them full, and made good contact. He's got a new swing and confidence. He's the key to the offense.

And days like this make me think Avila's .299 average was no fluke last year. He battles every at bat, has an amazing eye up there, then just flicks the ball into LF for a opposite field hit. Great game from him.

That was a bomb by Kemp. Not many people have they kind of power to take a ball opposite field in Petco on a cool night like this.

Maybin teeing off on that one. Jansen is looking like he likes to work the low and edge a lot. First time I've seen him pitch.

Cameron Maybin hit a HR that was estimated at 445 ft. In Petco.

Why? Because of his lifetime .80 GB/FB ratio and him pitching at GABP during the summer months?

Regarding Latos I do think it will be interesting how he pitches in a hitting ballpark. Hoping for the best though!

I'm not one to scream about the "awful" opening day or lack of traditions, but I'm honestly disappointed that I have no games to watch tonight. Why break it up like this...just dumb imo.
