Well I exaggerated on the Vernon Wells part but I think he's got 3-4 years of very good numbers left in him but I can easily see him dropping off the face of the earth. Historically power hitters start to lose it in their mid 30s. So yes 3-4 years of good ball then you got to start watching him.

It's not out of the realm of possibility. I never said he's going to have a crappy season this year.

Referring to Pujols as simply a "power hitter" is a little shortsighted, don't you think?

It was a catch all phrase. he's definitely more than that as he's probably the closest thing to a 5 tool player out of the 1B position. All i'm saying is that there are niggling little warning signs of a decline. I could be totally off my rocker but you can't deny that that there are some warning signs.

All i'm saying is that there are niggling little warning signs of a decline. I could be totally off my rocker but you can't deny that that there are some warning signs.

He suffered from nagging injuries (some more major than others) all year last year and still had an OPS over .900 though. A fully healthy Pujols, which he claims to be this year, is still the best there is right now.
