I highly doubt it. But sportswriters have been trying to say he's too old for a few years now, so if there was anyone that would come back from major knee surgery at 42, it could be him.
I'm not sure why he'd want to though. Like 55 said, he can take his time recovering and spend time with his family.

I didn't mean tragic in terms of off the field situations I meant as a player on the field. Besides that was off the cuff remarks.

Joe West even gets managers thrown out when he doesn't show up for games. He's supposed to be at 3rd base, but they're short a guy on the crew and Manuel gets thrown out for arguing a check swing call where there couldn't be an appeal.Comment
