Re: 5/14 - 5/20 Game Discussion Thread
Weird thing is last night as I watched the game at PETCO I had a great view of the hitters and Kennedy was consistently late/slow bat speed. He was cheating badly just to catch up on the fastball and was still late. I made the comment to my wife that I wouldn't be surprised to see him gone in a month...then he goes out and hits like he did tonight.
SF, I think it's time to update your signature, LOL.Comment

Well, let's call it like it was in this particular game as he was lucky that double play ball wasn't smoked somewhere else like it was to the 1st B.Comment

There must be something wrong with how the Reds' coaching teaches their hitters. A few guys have been swinging way too freely for years and it hasn't changed.NFL: Indianapolis Colts (12-6)
NBA: Indiana Pacers (42-13)
MLB: Cincinnati Reds (0-0)
NHL: Detroit Red Wings (26-20-12)
NCAA: Purdue Boilermakers (FB: 1-11, BB: 15-12), Michigan Wolverines (FB: 7-6, BB: 19-7, H: 15-10-3)Comment

Re: 5/14 - 5/20 Game Discussion Thread
I was at the Yankees-Reds game last season in Cincy when he pitched and he mowed the Reds down. It was arguably his best start all season: 8 IP, 4 H, 1 ER, 7 K, 0 BB.
Brook Jacoby. You have to wonder how long he'll last as hitting coach. Apparently they learned nothing after facing Nova last season too.MLB: Cincinnati Reds
NFL: Cincinnati Bengals
NCAA Hoops: Xavier Musketeers
NCAA Football: Miami Hurricanes
NHL: Calgary Flames

Re: 5/14 - 5/20 Game Discussion Thread
Considering his K/9 rate last year, I'm thrilled at what he's been able to do during moments this season in terms of SO.
Either his stuff got better, or he got more deceptive, or something.
He seemed to pitch to a lot of contact last year.Comment
