Round 2 tomorrow. On a side note, that's the first time I have seen Matt Moore look like the guy from September/October of last year. He quieted a HOT offense today. If he can locate his Curveball more consistently, then watch out.

Jered Weaver injured... they took him out of the game and he hadn't recorded an out yet. Damn.

Sorry Cubs, we've got this losing thing to a tee without having any long losing streaks.

Wow Hutchison was looking dominant tonight. His FB was in the mid 90s throughout and he looked very sharp. I guess the extra day's rest did him good. The only sour note to tonight's proceedings was Francisco Cordero. I think it's pretty clear that he's lost "it". Watching him pitch is like waiting for the inevitable car crash to happen.

Is it just me or have the umpires been extra awful this year?

                      Fowler!!
3 for 5 in game 1, 4 for 4 in game 2 from the leadoff spot. Raised his BA to .276 on the year and OBP to .373. Hopefully Fowler goes on one of those hot streaks like he's capable of.

I would definitely agree. They seem to be doing more worse than in previous years.

James McDonald has quietly become one of the more dominant pitchers in baseball up to this point in the season. Has the 7th best ERA out of SP in the MLB and tossed 8 scoreless today.

Mark Trumbo hits a no doubt walk off bomb about 20 rows in to the left field seats. Angels defeat Yanks 9-8. 7th straight win for Halos.

Trumbo was a single away from the cycle. Mike Trout with a couple of hits, a bomb and another circus catch in the outfield.

If Votto pulled everything then Great American Ballpark would help a lot, but he's an opposite-field hitter and Great American Ballpark doesn't favor those nearly as much, if at all.

Samardzija is looking great this year, given he is pitching to the Padres right now, but nevertheless has had success against most everyone he has faced.
