Now, feel free to bash me with statistics I don't understand.

                Go.
Just look at his normal stats for crying out loud, do those scream "One of the best OFers in the game" to you?
3 of the past 4 years he has missed 20 games or more, and looks like a .290, 20 homerun, 80 RBI guy with no speed.
How about this, the Dodgers could have let Ethier walk, and throw money at someone BETTER for around the same price in all likelihood.

Also, Andruw Jones was thrown in for the Dodgers overpaying for what was once a washed up CFer.

Like Matrix said, sometimes stats aren't everything. Nothing you will say will change my mind. Many dodgers fans feel the same way. And still throwing in Andruw Jones to the conversation is just dumb. So you can let it go. If it turns into a bad contract, we can eat it. We aren't a small market team.

Someone be dumb enough to trade for Tony Sipp please. He's way too inconsistent. Plus, we have a younger option waiting in the wings that'll fill his role just fine in Nick Hagadone.
