NHL: Detroit Red Wings (26-20-12)

And Yadi won't start the All-Star Game.
If we can win this game, we'd be rollin. 6 is a serious number for the fouth game in a row.Last edited by sydrogerdavid; 06-25-2012, 09:31 PM.Comment

Re: 6/25 - 7/1 Game Discussion Thread
Bases loaded in the 10th, 7-6 game and we have to PH a starting pitcher for our reliever so Joe Kelly legs out an infield single to drive in an insurance run, 8-6 Cards.
Hopefully Motte can shut the door now but the way our pen has been this season this one is far from over.Favorite Teams:
NCAA- University of Illinois Fighting Illini
NFL- Cleveland Browns
MLB- St. Louis Cardinals
NBA- Boston Celtics
NHL- Chicago Blackhawks

Re: 6/25 - 7/1 Game Discussion Thread
You guys on this thread/forum are awesome and I thank you for using common sense when it comes to talking baseball. I have been reading the St. Louis Post-Dispatch forum often this year to see what other Cardinal fans have to say about things. From what I've seen, about 80 percent of them are morons and do not seem to have a basic knowledge of the game. Trade this guy, trade that guy, fire Matheny, fire McGwire, sell the farm, we're the worst team in baseball, etc.
It's ridiculous. Thanks for thinking before posting and forming quality opinions.Comment

Holy crap. That's ****ing awful.
I always said that if I wasn't a Braves fan, the Cardinals would be a contender for my favorite team....but wow.....that's brutal.

Re: 6/25 - 7/1 Game Discussion Thread
This isn't so much a game discussion thread as it is an all star game discussion thread
If you could choose one of these 2 guys to be in the all star game, which would it be?
Player 1... .259 batting average, .849 OPS,13 home runs
Player 2... .197 batting average, .705 OPS, 8 home runs
If I told you that Player 2 was also a Yankee, that'd almost instantly put them in the all star game. Martin has over 1.1M votes, while Saltalamacchia isn't even in the top 5.
All star voting has just been sad now. Why not just let MLB GMs/coaches or writers vote in players?
A guy whose hitting .281, 21 home runs, 50 RBIs, .927OPS is getting beat out at the DH position in voting by someone who hits .242 with 11 home runs, 35 rbis,.775OPS and has started only 9 games this year at DH! The 1st guy isn't even in top 5 for all star votes for DH!Last edited by Majingir; 06-25-2012, 10:59 PM.Comment

That Pedro Alverez/Pirates highlight was hilarious.
Alverez high throw to 3rd
3rd baseman overthrows 2nd
