    Re: Some Free Agent Rumors

As a Cubs fan I would like to see Pudge, although he has injury issues.
I really thought they would push for Castillo, I would love that.
As for JT Snow, I don't understand. I would rather have Karros/Choi.
Urbina is a similar, but worse, issue as Pudge. He's been off and on for several years.

          Re: Some Free Agent Rumors

As a Blue Jay fan I don't want to even go near Juan Gonzalez. The man is a petulant, crybaby, "me me me" type ballplayer and would really be a bad apple in a generally good clubhouse. The last time the Jays had that kind of player in the clubhouse it caused problems. (Clemens)

Deivei Cruz would be a (minor) improvement over the alternative the Jays would have at ShortStop as Chris Woodward just doesn't hit enough and when he does, he's just a slap hitter.

Brian Jordan hasn't really hit the long ball in a long time but he's got a good avg. and decent OBP. I think that he would fit in well as a 4th OF/Bench/occassional DH.

Where has Todd Worrell been the last few yrs? The man is 40 yrs old! Altho I don't think he'd command very much on the market so if he performs well then he could be someone Aquilino Lopez can learn from by watching or by talking to.

Cruz is decent has some po and a great arm.Woddward just stinks on D...I'd like to see us re-sign Mike Bordick.

I'd love to see the Spos go after a 1st baseman which would probably move Wil Cordero to 3rd where we stank last year.

As a Pirates fan I think the only people the Pirares will serously look at are a third basemen, a 4th outfielder and a closer. At positions such as first base the Pirates have many in house options who they want to try out before they sign free agents

Hello, Urbina was very shaky with the Marlins at times, why not just Hawkins, Leskanic, and Quantrill to finish off the bullpen for God sakes? Then you go and get Castillo and Jose Cruz Jr. when you trade Alou to the Giants in the three way trade with Minnesota sending Milton to the Cubs as the fifth starter.
