    Re: Some Free Agent Rumors

Actually, Hendry has already discussed sending Alou to the Giants with Milton coming to the Cubs. Lofton would then start in left with Jason Dubois coming up as a backup.

When your GM is going after Fernando Vina, Benito Santiago, and J.T. Snow, it gives, at least me, a sick feeling in the stomach when we have the money to get Castillo.

Tim Worrell.....well that's a whole different kettle of fish! That would be a good pickup for the Jays.

BTW for the poster talking bout Bordick, he retired.

Mike Bordick? no he played quite well but kinda tailed off in the last 3rd of the season. He really enjoyed his stay in Toronto and said nice things about the team and city. I think he just wanted to see how it'd go this year and seeing that he did as well as he did. He's decided to pack it up.

You know what has been bothering me? Why Cubs fans want to go out of their way to get a first basemen. They already have Randall Simon who can hit practically anything, and what I see to be a power bat just waiting to develop: Hee Seop Choi. Why get Sexson or Snow at first on their lineup when they made the mistake of using three first basemen last year anyways? newsflash: you do not need three of them. Focus on Second, Short, and another quality arm for the Rotation. Then and only then can you even begin worrying about a 4th outfielder IMHO.

Somehow, are the teams in parenthesis the teams the player is likely to go to? Well, for Todd Walker, he's not going to San Diego for any reason. Unless you're looking at that one thing ESPN wrote up with SD's free agency prediction. Walker wasn't even mentioned. And for Ordonez (Rey?), I don't think he's coming to SD as well. And about the info put for Rod Beck, I'd like to inform you that Hoffman is healthy (he came back September) and the Beck is looking for a start... er, closing role somewhere else to get to 300 career saves, if he doesn't find one, then he'll gladly sign with the Padres to be a set-up man.
