I say yes. Yes, it is weird.
There is only one acceptable ending to the White Sox season. One-game playoff against the Tigers. They blow the game after having a sizable lead entering the 9th. This turn of events sends The Hawk into a fit of rage where he begins destroying the press box and taking random swings at other press members. He is fired and never heard from again. A day later a video of the incident surfaces on YouTube so we can all enjoy the demise of his career.

Rays win their 8th straight to move within 2 games of the second wild card spot.

Longoria broke a 2-2 tie in the top of the 9th with a big home run and Rodney got his franchise record 46th save.

        WOOHOO BLUE JAYS!

        Great start by Morrow tonight.

Interestingly JP Arencibia has been 8 for 12 in the last little stretch. Hopefully that augers well for next season.

Tigers won their last home game. They're two up on the ChiSox with 6 to go, all against Minny and KC, but on the road. If the Tigers don't make the playoffs now, they don't deserve it.

No no no no no. Not another game 163. I suffered enough in 2009 thank you.

A fat lady has sung for the Phillies, they were really just delaying the inevitable, but I got my hopes up....losing to the Astros was really the point where I knew it was over, but as a silly fan I still thought they could do it somehow.

They can still finish .500, not bad considering where they were.

Dunno if I should put this here but since it happened this week it falls under the purview of the thread title. Seeing Manny Acta get canned (BTW I hope no one else foolishly hires this guy as a manager again) and Sandy Alomar being the interim manager in Cleveland; I hope it opens the door for Alomar to be the manager there. I think he'd be a pretty good field boss and he was one of two guys I wanted the Jays to hire when they hired Farrell. (The other being Dave Martinez)

Darin Ruf could be fun to watch next year. Bases clearing double early on against Gio tonight.

Rooting for the Angels and Rays to take the place of the Orioles and A's. Probably won't get that to happen but I want the Angels in.

I'm the complete opposite. I like to see new teams taste some playoff baseball.

I had to smile seeing Snider do that. That kid plays with such hustle and heart.

Though after reading a series on his days in Toronto i'm pretty bummed out. He really did need a change of scenery but i'm rooting for him nonetheless. Great effort player, great guy.

Me too. I've seen the Angels more than enough over the past decade, and I have no desire to watch games emanating from the Trop.

That's the reason why I DON'T want Tampa in, lol.

As for the Angels, well, all that talent HAS to be in the damn playoffs. Too bad they had a slow start.
