    Re: Goodbye Pudge...

    How is he selfish.

He anchored the team, won the postseason MVP, and led them to the World Series title.

And he DIDN'T ASK FOR A RAISE.

He asked for exactly the same money he made last year.

The Marlins wanted him to take a HUGE pay cut.

I heard he might be headed to Baltimore and maybe LA.

Probably not Baltimore as they have there eyes on Javy Lopez, the Dodgers, now thats a possibility, that would allow them to move Paul LoDuca to 1B, one other team that could sneak into the mix is Tampa Bay, having managed against him for years Lou knows what kind of player he is, and could really help that young pitching staff,
and before anyone says it will never happen keep in mind nobody thought he would sign with Florida last season.

Pudge was the at best an average player last year.....If he didnt have a great division and championship series he wouldnt be talking about $10 million from anyone he hit .297 16 hrs and 85 RBI thats not worth 10 million..... dont get me wrong i enjoyed watching pudge this season, but every Marlin fan new in the begining of the year that Pudge was a 1 year thing...now im looking forward to watching Ramon Castro duplicate his numbers offensivly, as long as hes not in jail....The worst thing for the Marlins is the Media in South FLA is horrible to them, we signed 2 big players for 4 years and its a foot note....we lose pudge and its the top story on every news channel. And besides they lost more with Derek Lee than with Pudge.

Oh yeah, they signed Chad Fox for next season, he'll probably be the closer.

i have to disagree. with losing pudge we lose one of the or if not the best behind the plate catcher in baseball. Everyone seems to focus on his offense when really his specialty is defense. No one wants to test his arm and try to steal 2nd. Look what he did to Nick Johnson when he threw him out at 3rd base? For Lee we got a very young and upcoming player. In a few yrs he will be special *Van Wilder voice* write that down. Castro will be interesting I really hope he develops and as for Chad Fox I pray he can nail things down so we don't have to go out and get another closer.
