Yeah I heard about that whole twitter incident last night. Holy moly that guy has some anger issues. He's a notoriously bad fielding pitcher and the guy was basically exploiting it as he should by bunting. If anything Garza should be upset that he sucks so much as a fielder

Going back to the actual twitter incident though, there was absolutely no cause for Garza to go after the guy's wife. She was just expressing her opinion and then he goes off sounding like chauvinist pig.

I bet Garza and Zambrano were best friends. They deserve each other.

Indians sign Ryan Raburn to a 2 year extention with an option for a 3rd year

great move as long as its cheap and this season wasn't a fluke

        now on to kazmir

Edit: Raburn getting 2.4 Mil a year? Not bad for someone who would be having a career year if he played all season

Speaking of twitter, I can't be the only guy that loves how teams are belittling each other using twitter, right?

I mean, that's just comedy to me.
"It may well be that we spectators, who are not divinely gifted as athletes, are the only ones able to truly see, articulate and animate the experience of the gift we are denied. And that those who receive and act out the gift of athletic genius must, perforce, be blind and dumb about it -- and not because blindness and dumbness are the price of the gift, but because they are its essence." - David Foster Wallace

Incredible article that was written about a month ago about Jose Fernandez's transition to the USA, figured it was worth a share.

They've had some of the games on ESPN earlier, but I haven't watched any yet.

It did give us this gem though.

Our local team plays tonight and if they win, they advance to Williamsport... A different local team won it all a few years ago...

Yea this year they've been airing games already. Watched West Texas no hit New Mexico last week.

I love watching kids play the game. It's so raw and their exuberance is refreshing.

The pic of the kids favorite band? The kids fill out questionnaires them selves. So the kid probably spelled it that way himself and it's not really some ESPN goof.

I only started watching LLWS a few years ago when Keystone (PA) was actually doing well. I guess I'll be rooting for Lionville (PA) since the New Jersey team didn't qualify for the Mid-Atlantic region.

Turns out the PA team is actually 4-0 so far in the qualifiers.

The team from Michigan has a kid that's 6'2" 210. He's a pitcher and crushed a home run in the game I saw.

Sad news out of Atlanta, a fan fell about 20 meters from an upper platform at Turner Field and died. They're trying to determine if weather conditions or alcohol factored in at all.

"At this time there's no indication of foul play and the fall appears accidental," Chafee said late Monday. "It appears he fell from an upper-level platform to a secured lot below."
