    Re: 6/3 - 6/9 Game Discussion Thread

Rays just hustled their asses off in the 9th to take a 2-0 lead and old man Jim just pulled Fister.

Still only one out with Longoria on 1st, so hopefully they can get another insurance run for Rodney.

EDIT- And BOOM! Jennings with the RBI triple to score Longoria from first. 3-0 Rays.

So far this year, it certainly has been a launching pad, second only to Miller Park in HR factor.

Well, he made it interesting as usual this year, but alas...

        Spoiler

32-26 now and only 3.5 games back in the AL East. Could be just 3 of Texas holds on and beats Boston.

So far in today's Rockies/Reds game (still in the top of the 8th, so more could come):

Carlos Gonzalez ... 3 home runs
Troy Tulowitzki ... 2 home runs

The team's heavy hitters are earning their pay on this night.

Nationals lose. Slip to third place. Braves on top of the Phillies by 7.5.

            Certainly did not expect this.

Going to the Braves games against LA tomorrow and Saturday, maybe Friday too. Hope I don't get stabbed or something.

Anyone else find it interesting that he has more home runs than Matt Kemp this season?

Kemp is coming off shoulder surgery which has been known to zap people's power, but still Puig is pretty impressive.

Blue Jays have gotten desperate thanks to injuries...They signed Chien-Ming Wang to contract and he'll start for them on Tuesday.

I say fire their training staff.

As I said in the Blue Jays thread it's not that desperate from the standpoint that other teams were thinking about signing him at some point as he used the WBC to be a showcase for himself. At least he's had success in the big leagues.

I will agree with you though that the Jays need to clean house with their training staff. Bring back Tommy Craig! (sadly he was part of the Gord Ash exodus after he was dumped and is working for the Brewers organization)

I didn't mean Wang singing was entirely horrible,I meant the reasoning for the signing is what sucks. Many of our main starters and even some backup starters are all injured! Jays are on pace this year to use the most guys in a single season in MLB history. The past 2 seasons were the most injured filled seasons in franchise history, so something is seriously wrong with training staff if this is the case(same injury issue for 2 completely diff rosters)

Raptors biggest issue was scouting, and most people didn't realize it until a few days ago, that the reason for that, was cause one of our main scouts, was there since day 1 of franchise(who was one of the first firings our new GM did). Jays could be similar reason, maybe our trainers have been here way too long and are reason why the injuries are piling up. If Jays wanted to go all out this season, they should've spent money off the field as well.
