    If the stories are true, Ruth popped the ball up in the air over the infield, the infielders lost sight of the ball and ruth kept running, by the time the ball came down ruth was crossing the plate,
    hence, the first infield Home Run.

            Maybe if Ruth wasn't busy stuffing himself with hot dogs and prostitutes he'd of kept healthy enough to have had 2500 more at-bats. Lifetime records are made by players not only with talent but the maturity level to maintain the proper conditioning.
