Re: The A-Rod trade from a Rangers fan point of view.

you know whats really bad about all this, is when the Rangers and Red Sox had there talks going the Rangers wanted the Red Sox to pay $5.million of Manny Ramirez' contract in each of the next 4 years, plus the Red Sox would have had to take all of Arod's contract, but here we have them paying $70 million of Arod's salary, for me i'm glad this deal never went thru, i also really don't care if Rodriguez plays for the Yankees, Orioles or the Bad News Bears, he does not make the Yankees better,
as for the Rangers, in the long run they really are better off with out him, when you have the best player in the game, but can't manage to climbe out of the cellar, theres a problem, i agree that the Rangers need pitching, badly, but with the amount of good position players on the team, the Rangers can focus on building the pitching staff, whether it be this season or next offseason (there could be some good arms available next winter),
someone mentioned something about karma, this is, right now, the Rangers bad karma coming to haunt them, but, step one to exercising there demons is to FIRE JOHN HART!!!, he started this whole mess to begin with, he never should have signed Rodriguez (or Park for that matter) to such a ridiculous contract.

This is supposed to be Hart's last year. Grady Fuson is supposed be being groomed to take over. The thing that really sucks is the prospect that Soriano could be traded for pitching prospects. He's more than likely gone after the season. He may be traded back to New York....Mets.

That could be a good move for the Dodgers, they have some young arms they can spare to make the deal, it has also been rumored that despite the fact that the Dodgers were not able to sign Greg Maddux they still may trade Odalis Perez for another hitter, the White Sox name keep popping up in the rumors, the Dodgers would do well for themselves if they could get Magglio Ordonez from the White Sox, Ordonez and Soriano would add the offense and protection in the lineup for Shawn Green that the Dodgers need.

Man, Sori lied about his age in the beggining. He's not 26, as once we were led to believe, but rather 28. At least he came clean. That's my Sori.

The Rangers are almost better off waiting for this dead money to go away. Of course, it will be awhile for the moeny they are paying ARod to be off the books, but what about Chan Ho Park? They should wait for his contract to be gone before they start flinging money around again. They should hang onto Soriano for at least this season and see how he produces. If he has a big year, like a lot of people expect him to, then his value will go up. Plus if he shows he is a good outfielder or if by some stroke of magic his defense at second improves, he'll have tremendous value. Then they can get their pitching. The problem with them is they need an entire pitching staff, starters, bullpen, closer, all of it.
