Yeah. He was putting up MVP-type numbers when that happened. .345/.437/.618 though 81 games.

              Not helping!

I didn't mind him on Tuesday, because Gomes won it on the walk off HR, but now I'm glad he's out. We may see the first Japanese closer in a long time. Either Koji Uehara or Junichi Tazawa will close.

Was looking at the pitching matchups today and I'm trying to figure out how Lester is even in this group. He is miles behind those other guys so far this year. Hernandez and Iwakuma of Seattle should be there before the Boston boys. So far this year, those 2 M's pitchers have combined for 210 IP, 202 K, 0.99 WHIP, and a 2.40 ERA. And it isn't like Felix is the one keeping those numbers down. Hell, even Verlander is lagging behind Scherzer, Fister, and Sanchez in Detroit. He isn't 1st in any pitching category for Detroit this year.

Buchholz and Lester? 179 IP, 161 K, 1.18 WHIP, 3.24 ERA. It's no contest, not to mention, the numbers combined only look decent because of Buchholz.

Happy to see the Sox coming to KC this weekend. Hopefully we can do some damage, especially since we don't have to face Chris Sale this series.

Already 2-0 Toronto. Adam Lind for MVP.

And ol' Buck is already out of the game.

This is the first time Toronto has trailed in a game since Thursday 6/13 and that lead didn't even last an inning.

                        Bomb for EE.

Banzai!!! First career home run for Kawasaki.

Geez. EE came about 2 feet from giving us the lead. I don't really want to see our bullpen get wrecked going into extras in the first game of a 17 game stretch.

Pedro Strop can pitch against us any time he wants!
