According to WAR, his 2000 was better. Much much better. 1999 was a bit better than 97.

Pedro's 2000 actually has the 6th highest WAR of any single season in the last 100 years.

That depends on how the WAR is calculated. Baseball reference WAR, yes. Not Fangraphs WAR.

I'm willing to concede that 2000 might have been better than 1999, though.
        NFL: Indianapolis Colts (12-6)
        NBA: Indiana Pacers (42-13)
        MLB: Cincinnati Reds (0-0)
        NHL: Detroit Red Wings (26-20-12)
NCAA: Purdue Boilermakers (FB: 1-11, BB: 15-12), Michigan Wolverines (FB: 7-6, BB: 19-7, H: 15-10-3)

Let's say this then. It was 2 of the best pitched seasons in the history of baseball. Probably easier than actually deciding which one might be better.

Also, it appears that Kemp has stepped up his game a bit as well. Once the whole lineup fully clicks with Crawford in the mix, LA is looking good to take the NLW.

YOU PEOPLE AND YOUR GEEKY STATS!

Let me clarify, I meant in terms of W-L record. I mean if he can keep having quality starts and the Tigers keep scoring for him then he's going to have one of the gaudiest W-L records in a long time.

The name of Jonny Gomes' walk up song perfectly describes the 2013 Red Sox. The sing is The Boys are Back by the Dropkick Murphys, a Boston band no less. That is certainly true. I am excited to watch every game now. This team is clicking.

Not really, i'm just mad to see John "Turncoat" Farrell having so much success.

Good job by the Phils taking 2/3 from a hot team on their turf. Would like to say that the Pitt announcers were just as thrilllll..... zzzzzzzzzzz.
