Re: Turk vs. Barry
i agree with you not to mention bonds knows everyone has something negative to say about him as far as him as a person. so why would he actually give the critics something to truly use against him like roids? i dont care who you are, if you are a marked man, you always watch your step. and i think he has. also roids give an edge to the guy who needs that little bit. if i am not mistaken, bnds never needed any edge he wasnt traded from the pirates he left them after an mvp season. also i remember that he focused more on year long strenth training once he came home to the giants and could work with anderson instead of just during the off season being that he lived in pittsburgh during the season. and bonds was a homerun hitter. lets not forget that when cecil fielder hit 50 it was the first time in like 30+ years since someone did it. so when barry was hitting 28 or 30 hr that was when that meant something. it aint since recent years that 50+ was a regular achievement. bigger stronger faster better. its like this in all sports. training equipment and technology is the "blame" for that. not just roids or any of these supplements. leave barry alone y'all.Comment

Then my question is, if he's completely 100% pure and only using substances that are approved by the FDA and Major League Baseball, then why doesn't he show us what he's using?
The dude cries and cries about being labeled a user, but the only defense he gives is pretty much "trust me". The only thing missing is a little 'wink, wink' at the end of it.
But, maybe we should trust him. He is giving us his word. Then again why? Professional athletes have been lying about their personal lives forever. We as a public have come to take what these guys say with a grain of salt. So, this should be no different.
Seriously, if your rear end was getting strung up and accused for something you had absolutely nothing to do with, you'd probably get pretty irritated with the accusations. Fed up enough that you would say look, "This is what I did! It' legal and no one has a problem with it. And all of you that doubted me, can stick it in your ear!!!"
But, Barry doesn't do this. He gets upset someone says he's a user, but does nothing to refute it.
Sure, it's his perogative how he handles the situation. And if he doesn't want to devulge his secrets, then that's fine. But, everything about this points in one general direction. So he shouldn't get ticked off when he's asked the questions. He's done nothing to quash the rumors.Comment
