Did I hear it right just now on the radio? Nick freaking Punto homered for the Dodgers yesterday?

I hated the way people worshipped Punto here. He was my Dad's "favorite player" just because he knew it got on my nerves, lol

Watch out for the Royals. They're only 4 games out of the second WC spot. They are also 5-2 against the Red Sox this year. Sox beat them the first home game after the bombings and this past Saturday.

I'm guessing mirage before trend. Apparently he's like 27 and was pitching in an independent league a few years ago.

Hopefully he can keep it up, though. It's a great story!

Don't hate it at all. I believe he's loved in the clubhouse, he's a great guy.

I've always rooted for him to do well. I was never annoyed with Punto (on a personal level) while he was here, I was annoyed at the Twins fans who gave him a pass on his terrible hitting because he was a good guy who played good defense.

A lot of his seasons here, if he would have hit like 30 points higher (to get his average up to .250, lol) he would have been my favorite player!

That Pirates/Cardinals game tonight was a good one, big win for the Cards.

Matheny made some questionable moves tonight, Pirates made some big plays with shifts all night long, Cardinals had so many chances to win tonight and couldn't finish it, Chambers finally got a big hit in the 14th and Jay beat the play at the plate with a great slide.

Hopefully this will wake them up and get them back on track, it's been really rough with Molina out so hopefully he can return Thursday when he's eligible although haven't heard any updates on him.
