Yea, that sucks. Of course Vernon hit a meaningless double in the 9th, stat padder.... We got Nelson'd.

The grand slam Logan gave up ended the game essentially.

So, yeah. Miguel Cabrera's slugging percentage (not his OPS, just his SLG) on pitches over the middle of the plate this year is 1.238 so far.

Look, at those really inside zones, it's ridiculous really, I run out of superlatives when I talk about Miggy. With runners in scoring position and 2 outs, this dude hits .457 Holy Schneikes!!

Why haven't pitchers thrown every pitch in that .000 zone yet?

So the Phillies are holding a mystery press conference at 2:30. My guess is Charlie Manuel is finally getting the boot.

Yup. Looks like Charlie is getting the boot today.

Ryne Sandberg is the new manager.

Interesting to see who they'll name as the permanent manager in the offseason unless this IS the permanent switch.

Even if they don't say it, this is pretty much the permanent switch. Whole reason they brought Sandberg up to be the third base coach.

                        NIIICE!

Sandberg should've gotten his shot with the Cubbies but this is a better situation I think. I wish him nothing but luck.

I'm excited for it. It's time for the Phillies to have a new voice. Charlie's style of managing just doesn't work here anymore.

So far through 3.0 innings, the Giants and Marlins (ranked 28th and 30th in runs scored this year, respectively) have combined 16 runs on 22 hits.

The Giants are contributing most of it, but even still...

Alfonso Soriano is playing out of his mind right now.

Man, Wilin Rosario is tearing it up lately. 2-run opo shot to take the lead 4-2 in Baltimore.

I will say though.... it's cool watching games being played in Camden Yards. Good atmosphere and the crowd really seems to be into the game.
