"out-steinbrennering steinbrenner"?? i dont think so.. Griffey may HAVE BEEN a great player, but now he is the king of the DL.. i think he is quietly headed down the list of good outfielders.. ps - moving Andruw to LF would be a mistake..

Yes it would.Andruw is one of,if not the best defensive outfielder in the game.If they want to make room for KGJ,they should move Chipper back to 3rd.That way Derosa can still come off the bench.

this guy's hunch is wrong. Yes the yankees spend a ton of money, but they aren't going to get griffey. He's too much of a liability. They don't really need him.

Griffey also doesn't want to play for the Yankees so it's a moot point. I agree that playing in ATL would do Griffey some good as he wouldn't have the hometown pressure put on him but at the same time the man is a major injury away from becoming a fulltime DH type.

as a reds fan...well, i would like to keep griffey for a while to see how his season goes. they need something by the river to continue to sell tickets. with that said, if they could get an ace pitcher or a 2 and a great prospect, then, i would be willing to say bye.
