Regular season records mean nothing in the playoffs.

Aside from that, the game was amazing last night. The crowd was really into it, even getting to Cueto a bit. Byrd came up big, and Russ scorched that last HR. It made my day to see Cutch dancing around the outfield like a kid on Christmas.

On to STL, in what should be an amazing series. I wish they'd bring the duck close to RF during games

Maybe not, but it shows how good or bad the teams performed against real competition. Anybody can make a run, but based on what has happened this season we can gage how the teams might perform.

Let's go Tribe! I would rather see them play the Sox than the Rays. So glad this game is actually in Cleveland though. If it was at the Trop, they might get half capacity. It will be loud in Cleveland too. A full house clapping along to John Adam's drum... Wow.

Be thankful you won a World Series. Our fans show up when it means something. I'm sure you are not familiar, but the reason the attendance suffers is truly the location. On top of all the transplants that live in Tampa. It's not entirely our fans fault.

You find people who don't know how to act like regular members of society during their team's games in every fan base. I like it when people sitting around these idiots police their own. That happened with me at a Yankees game. Other Yankees fans almost attacked this yahoo who threw a cup of ice at a bunch of us.

Would absolutely love to see Cleveland face Boston for obvious reasons. But I think Tampa Bay gets the win tonight. Hope I'm wrong.

The Indians had the worst attendance in all of baseball this year. Tonight's game will be their first full house since opening day.

Yes, because no one likes sitting in the upper deck in RF. When I was there a few years back, the Sox were in town, the Indians were okay, and it was a warm spring evening. Deserted up there.

Many a time has there been a team with a poor regular season record against good teams and then in the playoffs, they make a deep run.

Hell, it even happened to the Indians in 2007. They didn't win a game against the Yankees until the ALDS, when they beat them in 4.

I was pointing at a stat. I never said it would change anything. No need for you to get all defensive...

I'm a bit conflicted on this game as i'd like to see Cleveland go on but at the same time I like the "little engine that could" story of the Rays. The thing that stops me from FULLY embracing the Rays is the fact that city doesn't freakin' deserve the team they got.

Oakland is a bit of a different story what with the dilapidated hell hole that they play in.

Eh, I'm switching sides and go with the Tribe.

You have never lived here I am going to assume. The location of the stadium is why we can't get fans to the game. You have to also consider the fact that Tampa is one of the cities with the most transplant fans. Which means a lot of people that live here aren't from around here so naturally they aren't Tampa fans. Since they already have a team when they get here. Factor in that the poverty rate in Tampa is higher than the state average.

I'm shocked the city can even afford to keep the Rays in greater Tampa.
