Well that would make up for the loss of Beltran and then some if he ends up in Boston.Member of the Official OS Bills Backers Club

What's hilarious is Kevin Millar has been pushing this deal on Intentional Talk and other shows for about 3 weeks now…it's almost like they heard his idea and thought "hmm…great idea"."People ask me what I do in winter when there's no baseball. Now Cards,Rangers sound like there gonna talk about Profar or Andrus... Rangers are said to like Miller, Taveras and Adams.Last edited by The Kid 24; 11-11-2013, 04:06 PM.Milwaukee Brewers | Green Bay Packers | North Carolina Tar Heels | Wisconsin BadgersComment

I remember that was a proposed trade by grantland. It was the perfect situation for both teams, Taveras for Profar.Comment

I'd do Andrus for Miller/Adams, but I'm sure the Rangers would have to eat some money, even though Andrus has a great contract.Comment

Re: 2013-14 Hot Stove League Thread
Miller alone maybe but not him AND Adams. It'd be more fair if it was both of them for Profar but I doubt the Rangers would do that. And even then I'm not sure if I'd do it either.MLB: St. Louis Cardinals

Re: 2013-14 Hot Stove League Thread
Lots of Jays news which you all must care about very dearly.
Jays are in on Hudson, Kuroda and Santana, but there isn't much mutual interest from the former two, which sucks cause those are the two I want cause Santana isn't great. Jays are also very ready to cut bait with Arencibia, Sierra and Lincoln, which is excellent news. Rajai Davis also appears likely to sign elsewhere.

Not surprised that Hudson isn't interested. I bet he tries to find a way to stick around with the Braves. As for Kuroda, the feeling is he's going back to Japan so again, no big surprise. I really really hope they don't sign Santana though. He's a "name" but he's no good.
Glad to hear that Arencibia's days are numbered. If he thinks he can catch on with a team as a starter than he's living in a dream world.Member of the Official OS Bills Backers Club

I think this is hot stove news? Joe Mauer is moving permanently to first base. Ryan makes it sound like they aren't going to sign another catcher and go with what they have. Hopefully this doesn't mean Doumit is going to catch a bunch of games.Comment

Rumors flying here in Philly that Ruben Amaro is deep in talks with the Blue Jays to acquire Jose Bautista. Being said that if a deal happens Domonic Brown is heading to Toronto. I'm keeping an ear out for any more news on this if I hear it. Nothing on MLBTR yet. Was reported on a local news station a bit ago.Comment
