YOu make some valid points but i disagree with Joe Nathen i dont think we will get much out of him at all didnt like his stuff when he was with S.F. last year and not sure why we traded for him. Shouldn't we as fans expect more from owners when we put so much time and money into the team.
is it so much to ask that we go after a decent freeagent once in a blue moon, everyone else does why dont the Twins that is my question. are we the smallest market in the major leagues? No actually im pretty sure that the twin cities market is the 11th or 12 th largest T.V. market in the league. im not givingn up on the Twins, this had noting to do with the players I mean who plays harder then the Twins? i just want to see some effort out of the ownership please! at least in the next 10 years.
well ive said my peace im out!

Once again, I have no problem with you criticizing Twins management for their work in the offseason but once you say, "I'm now a Tribe fan." I'm not taking anything you said seriously. You get no bonus points because you've stuck it out with the Twins for 10 years, that's what a fan is supposed to do. Go start a thread on your new favorite team and stop claiming to be a true fan of the Twins.

im not switching teams nor was i ever going to i was just upset with the victory sports decision and was trying to get my point across and i guess it rubbed some people the wrong way. I apoligize for that

Re: A sad day for a former Twins fan.

twinswinagain, i've read some of your posts about the Twins here before, and it's clear to me that you know nothing about the game of baseball. You can say you think Eddie G. is better than Joe Nathan, but to say "i don't think we'll get much out of him" is ridiculous. Did SF get much out of him last year on the way to a division title? 12-4 isn't a bad record for a set-up man, is it? He's a good player, and people that know baseball (Terry Ryan and Rick Anderson) think he's a quality pitcher. I think i'll trust them for now.

As for the offseason moves, i'm curious to know what you would have liked the Twins to do to upgrade the team. Who should we have signed? Who should we have kept? Who should we have traded? Instead of general whining about the lack of improvement on a team that has yet to play a game, why don't you strap on your GM hat and tell us what you would have liked to see?

PS: What did the Tribe do this offseason that has you so fired up to jump on their bandwagon? What were their big offseason moves?

the tribe did nothing in the offseason once again i was trying to make a point.
as for the twins i would have signed hawkins, eddie. but my point is just try once in while to go after a bigger named freeagent just once. whats wrong with trying? im not saying naten isnt a good player i just dont think you shouild trade an allstar player for an ok bullpen pitcher we should ahve gotten more IMO. and dont sart on the eric milton trade what a joke that was. and how about the pick up rick helling? why? what the point of that? i would rather of kept rick reed. just try thats all im saying
