These were the kind of games that Wood would have either got a no decision last year or a loss. The bats picked it up when he needed some help which was definitely not the case last year. Well anyway its a long season but so far things look promising.

I think that was about typical Kerry Wood. He will continue to be the one person that can stop himself from taking that 'next step' in his career. I hope we see better from him next start.

I also heard Prior threw from flat ground and had no pain so that's good news.

Yeah, at times Wood lost himself completely on the mound. I'm hoping it's just an early-season type thing that will get better over time, but who knows, he's been like this his whole career. Hope he shapes up a little bit, though, as he's my best pitcher on my fantasy team.

Yeah, at times Wood lost himself completely on the mound. I'm hoping it's just an early-season type thing that will get better over time, but who knows, he's been like this his whole career. Hope he shapes up a little bit, though, as he's my best pitcher on my fantasy team.
