    Braves win again

I'm not happy about the amount of runs we're giving up, but we're scoring like crazy. Marcus Giles with 4 hits, 2 RBIs. Johnny Estrada with 3 hits, 4 RBIs.

We win this one, Mets fans.

I gotta say that I'm impressed with the Braves overall so far. They don't seem to have much pitching, but they keep fighting 'til the end. Lots of dangerous hitters and guys that seem to have bought into Terry Pendleton's hitting philosophy... I didn't see anyone trying to pull a 3-run homerun in last night's game. They were content going the other way or hitting to where the ball was pitched.

Guys like LaRoche and Estrada are the future of the organization... it's hard to think of Furcal and Giles as veterans, but that's how they play. If Andruw can stay disciplined, JD Drew stays healthy, and Chipper keeps playing the way he always has, they are going to make the East an interesting division.

It's up to Leo to get the pitching staff throwing well, and if they can get hot, watch out... 13 straight division titles isn't out of the question.

We'll see how they do against some real competition... the Mets have been the Braves' personal punching bags for the past few years.

Honestly, I haven't been really impessed with Drew so far this year. I saw him play a lot with the Cards, and I loved how he played the game. Now that he's with the Braves, he hasn't hit up to his potential, but I know he'll come around sooner or later.

                  Giles is definately a playmaker.

very true....those two looked excellent in the series....LaRoche seems to possess the patience of a 10-year veteran at the plate, very impressive....and Estrada has shown a penchant for hitting the ball where its pitched, which is something more major leaguers (Ty Wigginton anyone?) could use a lesson in
