yeah, after watching him during the spring, its like two different players, night and day right now...as you said, two games, so well see how he adjusts to the league and vice versa...be nice to have Reyes back though

Guiterez isn't a bad backup either. He's looked solid althogh not as smooth in the field.

hes a quality reserve, good pickup for us....although, i have to say, we probably have the SLOWEST right side of the infield in the history of baseball right now

Kaz struck out over 100 times last season in Japan. He does strike out a lot. I believe the exact number is 120 in 140 some odd games. But he looks really patient up there. I'm not sure what spot in the batting order he held over in Japan, but he might be adapting to his new role as a lead-off man. If he was a #3 or #4 hitter in Japan, I can see why he would strike out that often. He would have needed to take some big hacks to drive in some runs. I think slowly but surely, he's evolving into a different type of hitter in this league.

                              Braves win again

I'm not happy about the amount of runs we're giving up, but we're scoring like crazy. Marcus Giles with 4 hits, 2 RBIs. Johnny Estrada with 3 hits, 4 RBIs.

We win this one, Mets fans.
