    Re: Yanks-Rays

Now if you couldn't tell just there, where Lou brought in Guadin to get Arod and Sheffield out?

The infamous Joe Torre is being out-managed by the infamous Lou Pinella.

EDIT: Something else to remember, the Yanks may have scored 4 runs, but officially the D-rays have held them to only THREE HITS for SEVEN INNINGS.

    THE YANKEES.

    THREE HITS.

    SEVEN INNINGS.

Can we officially say that the new D-rays are the REAL DEAL here?

I love it the Yanks lose 2 of thr first 3 games and everyone writes them off for dead. Its ok, still 159 games to go. Heck only 2 pitchers have taken the hill and Moose will have both losses. We have still yet to saee how Vasquez and Contreras are going to do. Brown looked good in his first start and will look to do the same tomorrow. Keep thinking the Yanks are dead, just drives them to do even better.

No one thinks they are dead. They are just happy they are getting off to a poor start, to the Devil Rays. Hopefully George starts getting on there back. A lot of new guys are there who've had clubhouse issues in the past, and guys like Sheffield aren't going to warm up to the fact that he's breathing down there neck, even after 3 games. They'll be fine though in the end.

You gotta love the first week of the season. Everyone over reacting to every game. The Yankees lose a couple games, and the collapse is beginning. The Devil Rays win a couple, and the suddenly a good team.

Enjoy the wishful thinking while you can, because in the coming weeks reality will set in.

I stopped watching the game, but Mussina's gonna be a problem. I think the arms in the bullpen are fine. But Mussina is a headache.

I definitely think the Yanks will have enough offense to cover the starting pitchers, so they'll be fine in the long-run.

But, Mussina might just be a 5 inning per game pitcher and that's not going to cut it as a #1.
