Will Ferrell....Every time I see this guy outside of the movies I just cringe. Oh well, I guess when you're rich and funny you can get away with doing this crap.

I've met the guy on multiple occasions. He's actually a really nice guy. He's not the same person you see on camera.

That's pretty cool to hear though i've heard other stories that he's a bastard but it's nice that you've had good experiences with him.

            Probably old but I figured it's worth a post/re-post.

His humor doesn't really land anymore, but can't deny he's great for charities

Pete Rose is trying to get into the Hall under Manfred.

MLB commissioner Rob Manfred says he has received a formal request from Pete Rose asking that his lifetime ban be lifted and that he will consider the all-time hits leader's request.

I got no quarrel with that, except Shoeless Joe should go first.

On the BBTN podcast, Jayson said he that he could not see Pete Rose ever getting into the HOF. However, he could see a type of reinstatement that MLB would be open to.

It's to the point that an entire generation thinks of him as the weird old dude who can't get in the HoF, and not the all-time hit king. I think that's punishment enough. My fear is that they'll wait until he passes to induct him, which would be pretty twisted and wrong to me.

I'm only in my 20's never got to see him play. But the first things I knew about him was the hit king. Now ask me about Shoeless Joe, old guy who can't get into the Hall because of some scandal in 1919. Rose won't get in and if he does that is bull unless Shoeless Joe gets in first.

Nice article on Giancarlo Stanton and what led to the contract he signed.

Coming off his best season and a devastating fastball to the face, the game's most powerful hitter surprised everyone by signing a $325 million deal to work for a notoriously unreliable owner.

Some might call me biased cause I am a fan of the Reds franchise. But Rose gambled as a manager not as a player. He has the most hits of all time put him in.

How'd I never hear about this before? This year all final games of the regular season will start at the same time. Not sure who came up with it but that's a pretty good idea.

With five playoff spots in each league, there is a good chance that a race or two extends to the last game of the season.
