    That's a fantastic idea.

I had never even thought of that.

That's gonna be pretty ****ing chaotic. Awesome idea.

It's going to be tough to keep up, and it's kinda gonna suck to not have games spaced out throughout the day just to have more to watch over a longer period, but as a concept it's pretty great.

I love this idea. The World Cup does this for the 3rd match in the group stage. It's great beacuse you have races that comes down to the final day. And having games start at the same time adds strategy and cuts down on the game watching for teams. For instance, the Angels and Red Sox are in a race for the 2nd wild card spot and both teams are at home. The Sox, 1 game back. Now normally the Angels would be keeping an eye on the Sox game. And if they are losing there is less incentive for the Angels to get a win that night. But now they wont know how that game is going and there is more incentive to win.

That's awesome. Hopefully we get another year like 2011 (? I think that's the year) where the final day was bonkers.

This is more of a baseball in general thing, not just MLB, but Wilson is buying Louisville Slugger for $75 million.

I wonder if for the first run during their ownership they'll trot out a limited supply of Wilson Sluggers

So there has been some talk that MLB is considering expanding rosters from 25 players to 28. Going to be discussed at Owners meetings this winter.

I'd tweak the idea further and make sure that those extra three roster spots are pitchers. That way when teams inevitably get killed by pitching injuries they don't have to rejig their organizational structure to fill roster spots.

From some of the rumblings I've been hearing it would be 2 pitchers and 1 position player.

I'm not crazy on this idea, for now. I don't want to see players losing valuable development playing time in the minors only to ride the bench as 1 of the extra 3. Hopefully most teams will want this 3 extra players to be vets that would be completely out of baseball otherwise.

I doubt any team would promote a young player they think highly of to ride the bench for an extended period of time (without the thinking that it's good for their development, like I think the Cards(?) do) what with the concerns about super 2, years of control, etc. It's too valuable to waste on bench time.

Only change I'd be okay with is giving NL teams 26.

                                LOL

Astros made their new AAA affiliate cancel a promotion they were planning in which they'd give out 2017 Astros WS Rings as part of their "back to the future" giveaway. The reason......

"We do not want a Fresno Grizzlies giveaway to be perceived as a jinx for our Major League affiliate."
LOL. Cause when the Astros finish their 7th straight season(this year) and 9th straight season(after 2017) with a below .500 record, fans will be blaming some AAA affiliate team for jinxing it?
