He also led the Majors in HR by a leadoff hitter.
    He was a gritty competitor.
Sad to think the A’s closed the book on Oakland, that will in turn probably close the book on Rickey Henderson Field and now the book on Rickey Henderson is closed.

This is as good of an excuse as there ever will be to bring up one of my favorite YouTube videos of all time:

Those PEDs do wonders for your eye sight and plate discipline. It's funny how people completely dismiss hitting as a skill when they argue that steroids/etc did it all. We've seen so many jacked dudes go out there are and wiff 4 times a game on the regular. Bonds having an off night was usually something like 0-2 2BB.

I don't know how rights and licenses work, but I wish EA could include the Winter Classic baseball stadiums in the NHL games.

I know they've included the football stadiums in the past, but it would be cool to play the Fenway games or Wrigley games.

The Winter Classic is usually the one hockey game I watch every year.

Speaking as someone who has worked on both EA's baseball and hockey titles in the past:

                  1. This would be an awesome feature, and I would absolutely love it.
                  2. This will never happen.

Yankees Fans Who Pulled Baseball from Mookie Betts’ Hand During World Series Banned from All MLB Games

The two New York Yankees fans who interfered with Los Angeles Dodgers outfielder Mookie Betts during Game 4 of the 2024 World Series have been banned from attending MLB games and visiting all MLB facilities indefinitely.

Austin Capobianco and John P. Hansen received a letter from Major League Baseball earlier this week to notify them of their lifetime ban, which was first reported by the New York Post.

"On October 29, 2024, during Game 4 of the World Series at Yankee Stadium, you interfered with play by intentionally and forcefully grabbing a player,” the letter reads, per MLB.com. “Your conduct posed a serious risk to the health and safety of the player and went far over the line of acceptable fan behavior.”

"Based on your conduct, Major League Baseball ('MLB') is banning you indefinitely from all MLB stadiums, offices, and other facilities. You are also hereby banned indefinitely from attending any events sponsored by or associated with MLB,” the letter continues. “Please be advised that if you are discovered at any MLB property or event, you will be removed from the premises and subject to arrest for trespass."

Time for them to adopt tactics employed by their fellow Queens brethren:

Maybe John Hansen is a more common name than Capobianco and they wanted to distinguish Hansen with the P.? In case they already know they have another John Hansen on their season ticket list? Just a guess.
