I still think it's blasphemy for the Cubs to no longer be on WGN. it's kinda sad how the Braves and Cubs are no longer on the stations that they propped up for many many a year.

The logo and its colors on the front of the Cards away unis is gorgeous. I don't know if they made the red brighter this year, or it's the white balancing on the Jays feed, but man is it impressive!

They recently did a piece on the Jays-San Fransisco in the 70s regarding how the Giants could've relocated to Toronto had the deal went through.

How different do people think MLB history would've been had this happened? Toronto Giants instead, meaning we wouldn't have the great Jays team of the late 80s/early 90s, Giants would've never had Barry Bonds, the Toronto franchise would've had the history of guys like Mays,McCovey among others(though they might not have even recognized that part of their history).

Giants-Expos rivalry would've been huge(since it'd be a divisional rivalry),AL would've kept the Brewers, and we might have had 1 more expansion team in the league to make it an even 30(and that extra expansion team would've come from the west).

Padres went slip 'n sliding on the tarp at Citizens Bank Park today.

Your browser does not support iframes. There were some heavy storms that were passing through South Philadelphia on Tuesday evening prior to the Phillies tilt with the Padres and Citizens Bank Park was hammered with a TON of water in a very short period of time. The field was flooded, the visitors clubhouse had a waterfall of sorts cascading down…

What makes this even more egregious is that Amaro is a third generation baseball guy. How could he be this clueless?!

Rangers pitching staff had another shutout last night and 2nd in a row, they have 13 on the season and that's best in MLB but they've given up the 4th most runs and have the 2nd highest ERA in the league.

EDIT: 2nd most shutouts, St. Louis has 14

I strongly urge you all to check out this website called plunk everyone. It is hilarious. It keeps track of all the HBPs in the majors from today and all of baseball history. I am going to have to start checking this out every day, because it is a very less-than-serious baseball website, which can be a nice break.

Tony Gwynn has died of cancer. I hadn't heard anything about it. Not sure if this was a shock or if I just missed or forgot about it.

Rays and Cubs doing some scouting of specific Jays prospects. Could mean we might see Price or Samardzija being dealt. And if so...wonder what it might cost the Jays.

Looks like Daniel Norris(top 100 prospect) who has been dominating in A ball at age 21, will likely be one of the guys part of the deal(since that's who both Rays-Cubs were scouting)
