                Because it is a ridiculous way of determining homefield advantage, regardless of whether homefield is meaningful or not. That's why.

                            Thanks to the Astros losing, every team left in the playoffs wears a royal blue cap.

                                And thanks to the state of Texas, we now got ALCS with similar looking jerseys. I'm sure both teams will wear their alternates on the road(if the home team doesn't). Will be nothing but crowds of blue and white in KC and Toronto.
