They should have a Dee Gordon Exception type rule, where if you're a skinny fella you only get like a 10 game suspension.

No thanks, he'd be 71 by the time the season started.

anyway, I think they got a good one in Beasley, hopefully they'll remove the interim and give him a full season next year, instead of trying the same old retreads, i.e. Maddon, Girardi or even Washington

I actually applaud the Padres organization and his teammates for going in on Tatis. You can be sympathetic to a young kid making mistakes. But the kid has gotten arrogant and has made some really stupid decisions. His dad defending him shows the apple doesn't fall far from the tree. No accountability. It's harsh but it's true.

Don't forget he already had a shoulder issue and then wrecked his motorcycle. A reporter asked him around what period did he wreck and he arrogantly exclaimed "Which one?"

The Padres rewarded him with a monster contact and built a team centered around him. Which alot of organizations cheap *** owners won't even attempt to do. And Tatis is out dicking around.

Hopefully, he learns from this and comes back angry and focused. He could be a legend in the game. He's supremely talented and obviously had a great worth ethic to get to that point. One of the most electrifying players I've personally ever seen. Nothing he can't do. I hope he can put it all together. The game is better with him as one of the faces of baseball. Hope he figures it out. I really do.

Braves locking up Michael Harris for 8 years, $72M. I saw a graphic that showed the Braves have locked up their entire core for less than the Angels are paying Trout.

Riley ($212M), Acuna ($100M), Albies ($35M), Olson ($168M), and Harris ($72M) equal $588M, so I'd say that comparison isn't right

The graphic was Acuna, Albies, Riley, and Harris; I think because these are all players drafted/developed by Atlanta.

That makes sense. As much as I despise the Braves.. they're operating on a different level with roster construction. Insane the success they've had with these contracts and they haven't backfired yet

This is interesting. He has a LOT of development needed and looks like he'll hit a wall like Frenchy did once pitchers figure him out.

GM Chris Young (who I believe is the former 6'10" big league pitcher for the Pads/Royals and a few others) will take over
