Combine the leagues too. The way MLB is set up, they could have 4 divisions of 8 teams, and depending on expansion teams, could have all divisions (minus maybe 1 team?) perfectly aligned based on timezones.

No....please no. Manfred if you by chance read OS, or any of your fellow influential colleagues in the commissioners office read OS, please ignore this post and do not give it any thought.

      Thank you.

I like that the Mets got a weekend series in Pittsburgh, I went last season when they did and had a blast. Such an awesome stadium

                I'll take that any time.

.. pitching wasn't the Braves problem. They could never hit when it mattered, especially their early losses.

He was not a 3+ era pitcher in ATL but was in the playoffs.

His career ERA is 3.42 NLDS, 3.67 NLCS, 2.09 WS
                Total is 11-14 3.27 ERA
His career ATL only 194-88 2.63.

Those were during some of his best years when he was sub 2era and sub 3. He was dominant in the regular season. He wasn't that same guy in the playoffs.

Not going to argue against needing 1 more bat, especially pre Crime Dog, but still. Those early teams were built on speed and pitching.

It's a toss up to me between Phillies/Pirates and Guardians/Reds as to who goes in which east division, but maybe Cleveland/Cincy go to "southeast"?

Then again, if its 8 divisions of 4, it could work too.

                              Didn't see this coming, not this soon, anyway;

Julio extended, 14 years, $210mil, possible he could earn over $400mil (per Jeff Passan)
So I guess teams aren't learning from the Tatis situation (not about the suspension, but about just the risk of this big deal to a young guy).

Julio literally being paid big money based on just over half a season worth of games played. Don't get me wrong, if he's gonna be putting up 30HR,100RBI numbers in the future, it'll be worth it, but I feel like that "gambling" trend in sports (paying based on what you think will happen) has led to more bad deals than ones where teams winded up getting guys on team friendly deals based on how their career panned out (and what they would've been paid if the team waited an extra few years).

I hope Jays don't do it, but they'll probably follow the trend with Vladdy.

I couldn't be more excited for the deal.

I was 12 when they brought Junior up. I haven't seen a player this talented since.

Seattle doesn't have a superstar right now. This guy looks like he's it.

This is a GREAT day for us. And for the Mariners, who have generally been a **** organization in every sense of the word.
