I think the odds are pretty high that most of these young top prospects stay very good for many years.

It's a toss up to me between Phillies/Pirates and Guardians/Reds as to who goes in which east division, but maybe Cleveland/Cincy go to "southeast"?
Then again, if its 8 divisions of 4, it could work too.

Re: MLB Off-Topic
I'd even look to nyc for expansion. with that population, they could easily support a third team over Nashville and Charlotte
heck, nyc already previously had 3 teams for almost 60 years anyway.OSFM23 - Building Better Baseball - OSFM23

Re: MLB Off-Topic
Don't get me started on the redundancy of multiple teams in the NY area but refusal to take advantage of the easy cash cow that is a 2nd Toronto team in the NHL that would've outdrawn most teams in the league.
But as for MLB, their expansion teams need to be in markets where there isn't much competition already, rather than having a team somewhere that many fans will be tough to change their loyalties.
Even Montreal, while many became Jays fans, I think it'll be easy getting them back into Montreal baseball.Comment

1000%.. can’t grow the game by just triple stacking large markets. So many untapped metros that would treat baseball well.Comment

Its easy to see the appeal. Especially considering most of the owners aren't George Steinbrenner chasing Titles, they're businessmen out for a buck.
Outside of Vegas, I'm not sure there is a new market that is guaranteed to have success. You want free speech?

20 million people in the New York metro area... 13 million in LA

The likeliest TV partner (and possible owner) is the competing telecom company of the Jays broadcaster/owner. So you know they'll be driven to not only make the team good, but to outdo their corporate rivals.Comment

I don’t think anyone disagrees with those points. It just does nothing to grow the game. New York and LA already have a passion for the sport.Comment
