Thank God for baseball writers and old school etiquette. Otherwise the sport might be in trouble or something.

A visual of Camden Yards' new left field. Can't wait to see the chaos that corner by the bullpen causes.

Wow! That's all kinds of fun.

Just wait till they bring it back in, though. This is the first time in a long time that I remember a ballpark pushing fences back instead of in.

A theory I’ve heard thrown around is they have a lot of left handed pitching in their farm so they’re anticipating facing a lot of righties and they pushed it out because of that.

Soon every AL East ballpark will have it's own thing.

Fenway obviously with the green monster, triangle and short/deep RF.

Tropicana with whatever that catwalk rule is

Now Camden with that weird LF.

What's next? Jays having part of the outfield being underneath the entire OF section of seats so that if it's a flyball it's a home run, but a liner will just end up being hit under the seats likely for a double (or more, unless the guy can throw far without elevating his throw).

Actually, I shouldn't give them ideas.

I know baseball is different, and both teams have to hit and field just the same, but I've always found ballparks to often provide such crazy home field advantages. When you have things like a short OF porch, or a green monster, or some of the other things we see, especially in the world of analytics and launch angles and all that, you can definitely change the way your team is built to revolve around a ballpark.

For better or worse, you don't see that in basketball or hockey or football.

If you're referring to Baltimore, I assume they'll stay the same. They're stacked right now, and they still look stacked in the rendering. I don't see why that would have to be changed.

I didn't know that had happened. What a selfish individual to end the life of her son. Give her up to somebody before doing something like that.

That's what I love about baseball. Your stadium impacts how your team plays and their numbers you don't see that in any other sport. I hope the A's get a new stadium and the front office has some input on the dimensions they'd be unstoppable.

Apparently, MLB has killed the stupid plan to split Tampa Bay between Tampa and Montreal that Tampa kept pushing. I'm sure it had to have been discussed in contract negotiations with the MLBPA.

That would have been so awful for the players. Glad it’s nixed.
