2 infielders have to be on either side of 2nd base when pitch is released

    Can’t cross over during windup

I miss the old days of Operation Sports :(

Will teams risk bringing in an outfielder to close gaps that will be open because of the shift ban? Put the LF in the spot between 1st and 2nd on the outfielder grass that would normally have a shifted infielder against lefties that pull the ball all the time? Do outfielders have stay in a specific area.

I don't believe they have to stay in a specific area, and I doubt that they will do that. Outfielders run a greater risk of being out of position because of nobody being behind them (besides a wall). Those would be automatic triples, rather than automatic singles. Though I've seen weirder things.

It really depends on the splits of the hitter. A lot of guys that get shifted on pull the ball nearly every time they hit it on the ground but in the air it’s more spread out. I don’t think it would be worth the risk

In the 1971 World Series I watched in awe, superman play seven baseball games. As a Mets fan I cringed the Pirates lineup before and after. His loss I remember was unbelievable at the time. I considered Roberto Clemente then and now the greatest player I've ever seen.

Now, lets beat this Pirate team! LFGM

With Judge approaching Maris, it reminds me of how impressive Maris's 61 homers were. Judge is 6'7" and listed at 282. Bonds and McGwire, big dudes, with some of their muscle being of questionable origins. Sosa was about the size of Maris but, again, the possibility of PEDs. Maris was listed as 6'0" 200 lbs. Really amazing that he hit 61. Arguably the most impressive of all the guys in the top echelon of home runs.

The Twins are changing their uniforms and logos next year, along with making various upgrades to Target Field.

I don't have a problem with the TC logo, but don't go the Rockies route and just make your letter logo the primary and your primary now the alternate.

Although they don't really have a logo in their history I think would be good as a modernized retro either.

They have more to go off of, but the Wild and TWolves logos are great. Not sure what the Twins could do to follow suit.

Their uniforms could definitely be a bit better, but I like the TC logo. It looks good on a hat. I hope they keep some sort of powder blue throwback uni in the mix

I've liked all Twins logos, including the TC. If they change it, I have faith they'll do well with another one... though that will make my current hat for theirs outdated, so I'd have to get a new one.

I have a personal distaste for powder blue (unless it was a part of their actual three-tone color scheme, in which case I'd still have to see if I like it), but it seems many like it as does the MLB in general, so I'm guessing you can expect it at some point if not immediately.

I like the powder blue as an alternate/throwback option, but really mainly for teams with darker blue/red as their team colors. If the Padres unveiled powder blue alts I am confident they would be ugly with those colors!

I like how it can work as either a road or a home alternate depending on the team. To be fair though we are probably right at the max number of teams that can have a powder blue uni before it becomes overdone

Unofficial deadline was today for the A's and the City of Oakland to reach a deal on Howard Terminal. There is no deal, pushing key votes into 2023. Negotiations continue.

If the unlikely happens and they do come to Vegas, I believe the 37 acre festival grounds on the north end of the strip is expected to be the leading candidate for the home of the ballpark.

Tony La Russa is officially retiring, citing his recent issues with his pacemaker, another medical issue that he is remaining private about, and saying "our record is proof. I did not do my job."

I Hope his other medical issue isn't anything too serious.

Certainly wish him well. It was fun for him to sort of become a meme across the other side of town (although I live in the south suburbs so I guess that's my side of town) for how badly he bungled so many different situations, but his resume before the past two years certainly spoke for itself. I hope his medical condition isn't serious.

Still remains such weird decision to hire him in the first place.
