Re: MLB Off-Topic
Aroldis Chapman
Craig Kimbrel (?)
Kenley Jansen (?)
Dellin Betances (?)
Wade Davis (?)
Those guys are up there with Miller. Maybe not quite as versatile in terms of getting stretched to 2-3 IP/appearance.Chicago Cubs | Chicago Bulls | Green Bay Packers | Michigan WolverinesComment

That's what makes him better overall then each of them IMO, and I'm a huge Betances fan. Either way we both make good points and all of these options at end of game are great choices, I just think miller with his versatility puts him a little over these other guys

My only point is that I don't think Miller is head and shoulders above the other top guys. He might be the best though.Chicago Cubs | Chicago Bulls | Green Bay Packers | Michigan WolverinesComment

Re: MLB Off-Topic
I think Miller was as good as the others this year (if not better), but he's older than the others and will fade out sooner too.Samsung PN60F8500 PDP / Anthem MRX 720 / Klipsch RC-62 II / Klipsch RF-82 II (x2) / Insignia NS-B2111 (x2) / SVS PC13-Ultra / SVS SB-2000 / Sony MDR-7506 Professional / Audio-Technica ATH-R70x / Sony PS3 & PS4 / DirecTV HR44-500 / DarbeeVision DVP-5000 / Panamax M5400-PM / Elgato HD60Comment

Re: MLB Off-Topic
I would say Chapman fades out faster, the human arm can only throw 103+ mph for so long, lol. But damn it's amazing to watch, from the couch that is

Re: MLB Off-Topic
^ I don't disagree with that; I know that Miller might be the best "pitcher" of the bunch, but he already is in his thirties is all.Samsung PN60F8500 PDP / Anthem MRX 720 / Klipsch RC-62 II / Klipsch RF-82 II (x2) / Insignia NS-B2111 (x2) / SVS PC13-Ultra / SVS SB-2000 / Sony MDR-7506 Professional / Audio-Technica ATH-R70x / Sony PS3 & PS4 / DirecTV HR44-500 / DarbeeVision DVP-5000 / Panamax M5400-PM / Elgato HD60Comment

Re: MLB Off-Topic
It's really just Miller up there. Then I suppose Britton/Betances/Jansen/Chapman, then probably Kimbrel/Diaz, and so on."Twelve at-bats is a pretty decent sample size." - Eric ByrnesComment

I generally agree with you but Nolan Ryan threw 100 MPH every once in a great while during his 40s. Of course, he may very well be the exception that proves the rule.Member of the Official OS Bills Backers Club

Re: MLB Off-Topic
I think Chapman might be able to keep throwing that gas for longer then most would expect. I expected him to be here and gone with the Reds but he's hung around longer already then I thought and really delivered on the promise he had as a pitcher. I think he could be an exception too.NHL - Philadelphia Flyers

Re: MLB Off-Topic
Yea you both make very valid points, he could very well be an exception. Will be interesting where he ends up this offseason as I'm sure there will be a good bidding war for his services
