Phillies drafting 8th overall and will get a compensation pick between first and second round if Jeremy Hellickson rejects the qualifying offer.

Reds getting that #2 pick makes me happy. If everything goes okay I really think they could be contending in a couple of years.

I hate the Mets but I'm so glad St.Louis is not in the postseason.

The White Sox confuse me but oh well....According to the Chicago Sun-Times Robin Ventura is out as manager because they need a "new voice". That new voice? Bench coach Rick Renteria.

Something I've been thinking MLB should've done for awhile, even moreso after todays game, but anyone think they need to improve the foul pole cameras? Jays-Red Sox game today for example, look how hard it was to even tell if the ball was fair or foul. Even Hanley who hit it wasn't even running to 1B after the ball went over because he had no idea if it was fair or foul, but just saw the ump rule it a HR so he started running.

Maybe something like a 360 cam at the top of the foul pole or something so you get a definitive view of where the ball is, cause in some instances, it's very hard to tell if it's fair or foul, especially if the ball goes over the top of the pole.

No sweeps? I also think you need to reconsider if the current year is divisible by 2 and re-pick the World Series.

Voodoo works best on long-suffering teams. Perfect for the Cubs, Nats, Mets, and Dodgers. The Red Sox, not so much. Plus it's been, what, a whole 18 months since Boston last won a championship? You know that won't last.

Note that the 2016 NFL, NHL, and NBA seasons ended in Santa Clara, San Jose, and Oakland, with nary a Bay Area champion to be found. Why not complete the cycle?

Just standard operating procedure around here, and of ALL the places they need "a new voice" the manager is WAY down on that list.

So who SHOULD be AL MVP? After reading around the internet today, the contenders are down to Altuve, Betts, Donaldson, Trout. Who should be the MVP? I can see cases for Betts, Trout, and Donaldson.
