Interesting that Clevelands twitter says game will be made up on Monday "if the Tigers need to". So does Cleveland NOT need to play the game? Meaning if Tigers are eliminated from playoffs already, but this 1 game could determine home advantage in the other ALDS series, will Cleveland not have to play a game?
As I mentioned in my earlier post, the game will not be made up if only seeding is on the line.

    EDIT: Never mind.

Ortiz interview with Verducci, I obviously hate him but he always has great stuff to say, it's interesting to get inside a hitter of his caliber's mind.

Can't wait to get this guy out of my life, he's had a great career, unfortunately so much of it was tormenting me lol. He'll get the boos he rightfully deserves, he's 0-fer in the series so far so I'm sure he hits an upper deck homer tonight.
This is the only Papi quote that matters tonight.

And when I hear you boo me, I’m gonna try to hit the ball over that white fence, all the way to the mother******* choo choo train.

A makeup game would be played Monday only if it would affect which American League teams would make the postseason or how teams are seeded.

I don't think he's right about anything and in fact I think we'll probably see him again soon with the start of the Blue Jackets season approaching.

He wasn't right about saying the Indians weren't going to give up Zimmer or Frazier for Andrew Miller. Like I said they would.

I am VERY interested in seeing Jason Heyward and whether he has a good postseason. Good thing the Cubs have been winning, otherwise his utter mediocrity at the plate would get the due criticism it needs (3rd OPS among qualified batters at .626).

I still feel like his swing could be adjusted if he'd go back to 2010.

So Matt Holliday will be done with the Cards after this year.

Mozeliak said they will not be picking up his $17 million option for 2017.

I dont even think he can play with his thumb right now? Apparently they activated him as a sort of farewell weekend.

Edit: Hit a pinch hit homer tonight so he must be healthy.

Yeah, but the commish suspending Preller for a month tells you all you need to know about who was wrong in this situation. As irritating as I find the Red Sox, I see where they're coming from here because even if they don't love the idea of Pomeranz's elbow and keeping him, it's well past all of the trading deadlines so they would have no option to replace him.

So excellent...everyone had Atlanta pegged for that #1 overall pick for 3/4 of the season. We finished strong and still get a great pick.

The Reds, Padres and Rays all had a 68-94 record...Atlanta had a 68-93 record because of the cancelled MIA game. I was kindly hoping for that #2 pick but baseball's draft is so enigmatic compared to the other sports.

Atlanta was 36-35 after the all-star break and kept getting better (16-10 after September 1st). Really am excited about the future...I truly hope we draft a hitter instead of another pitcher.
