        Rosters will remain 25 man.

No international draft, but int'l signings are said to be capped to 5-6M per team per year.

There will be free-agent compensation, but with a draft pick that isn't a 1st rounder

Smokeless Tobacco has been banned and A's being phased out as a revenue-sharing recipient in the next 4 years. All players playing now have been grandfathered in for the smokeless tobacco rule. So they can keep using it if they please.

Seems almost like the owners didn't get ANYTHING in this deal.

Don't know if you're caught up in the Hot Stove thread but the luxury tax got increased for each of the next 5 years.

I'm somewhat baffled the roster size didn't increase; I felt for sure that would be upped in some way.

As a side point...I really do think the minors needs to have their own union or at least have the MLB players union graft in the players under the minor league affiliates.

It's hard though...especially when I got my neighbor playing their franchise across the street...maybe I will occupy myself with Glamore Magazine.

But they get to go on making money hand-over-fist with no work stoppage. Avoid the public backlash of repeating 1994. I'd say those are pretty nice gets considering the game has never been more lucrative than now. Kudos to the owners for realizing that they make out just fine basically doing business as usual. Kudos to the MLBPA for realizing how far over a barrel they could put the owners and for not trying to go farther than that.

The All-Star Game winner no longer gets HFA in the World Series.

That now goes to whichever pennant winner has the best overall record.

EDIT: And apparently the DL goes from 15 to 10 days.

You're telling me that the team with the best record in the World Series gets HFA?

That is a unique concept in baseball, I wonder if other sports do that.

So glad they finally got rid of the All-Star game winner hosting the All-Star game.
I can't shave with my eyes closed, meaning each day I have to look at myself in the mirror and respect who I see.

I miss the old days of Operation Sports :(
