These guys are professional baseball players who squat behind a plate and get blasted by foul balls, or play a position literally called the hot corner. This is pure hand waving.

MLB Tonight needs to stop this Brian Kenny roundtable stuff.

Put him on his own solo show and let him have it. I enjoyed clubhouse confidential...I remember when he hosted 5 reasons you can't blame on ESPN and that was a good show. His consistent arguing (and overtalking!) on MLB Now makes it nearly unwatchable for me.

It's hard though...especially when I got my neighbor playing their franchise across the street...maybe I will occupy myself with Glamore Magazine.

Anyone catch Curt Schilling get into a twitter war with a fake Sidney Ponson account?

No, but this is an incredible premise to a not-yet-thought-of joke.

Are you sure it wasn't real Sidney Ponson? Sounds like something he would do.

Probably their goal. They wanna be ESPN/FS1 too, you know. They can't just keep doing what makes them the best.

MLB Network is nothing like ESPN, that's a ridiculous comparison and what Speedy is complaining about IMO isn't really an ESPN like issue, he's just saying the host of the everyday show should be more neutral. Brian Kenny is not Skip Bayless by any stretch.

I've always had the impression that Brian Kenny just likes to hear himself talk.

I don't mind Brian Kenney heading up the panel at times. He does have the unfortunate trait of loving to hear himself talk but to compare what he does with the likes of Skip Bayless is missing the point. Bayless is an idiot whereas Kenney is actually pretty damn smart. At least the back and forth on his panels are of a higher intellectual level.

                        Number notes

With Koji going to Chicago, JBJ is taking his college number back, #19.

Tyler Thornburg is taking Travis Shaw's old 47.

                        Andrew Benintendintendintendi now wearing 16.

Since we are sharing numbers. Wade Davis will wear #71 for the Cubs

Yan Gomes switches to #7 so EE can have #10

Aaron Judge needs to switch from that #99, meanwhile.

                            He's not Turk Wendell.
