Okay...one more question; this one of the trivia variety. Which player collected his first Major League hit/RBI while he was still in the minor leagues?

It's hard though...especially when I got my neighbor playing their franchise across the street...maybe I will occupy myself with Glamore Magazine.

Doesn't Javier Lopez of the Giants throw submarine?

No, his arm is a perfect sidearm.

I'm assuming it was a player who got a hot in an MLB game that ended up being postponed and finished at a later date when the player had been sent back down to the minors.

His hit wouldn't have become official until the game was completed when he was back in the minors.

This is close to the situation...but not exactly how it went down. This is a VERY well known player, btw...

Finished a game that was previously postponed while he was still in the minors making his hit occur in the original date of the game?

I'll go with Bagwell as a wild wild guess.

Not Bagwell, but you are correct on how the situation occurred. In this case the original game was played on April 20th at Wrigley field. It was tied after 14 innings and suspended because Wrigley didn't have lights. The game was resumed 4 months later on August 11th. This player had been in the minors on the date of the original game, but by the time of August 11th he had over 200 PA's in the bigs. He was used as a pinch hitter and delivered the game winning hit/RBI...despite the fact that he had over 50 hits in his career at this point, that suddenly became his FIRST hit/RBI.

Sources say MLB wants a 30-second time limit for managers to make replay decisions according to Jayson Stark.

                          This NEEDS to happen.

It should be like 8 seconds, what kind of tomfoolery is this? After it happens, immediately go to the umpire to challenge or let it die. This waiting for the guys upstairs to confirm if the runner at 2nd base picked his heel up off the bag on a steal attempt goes against everything I wanted in replay.
