I selfishly wouldn't want that. I like the Matt/Buck pairing on the international feed of FOX playoff games. That was way better than the one people in USA have to listen to.

Good article from Ben Lindbergh on how the changed ball is [probably] the primary culprit for the home run explosion.
It's garnered a lot of talk here, some suggestions about what's going on:

            1. The seams are lower and the balls are being wound a lot tighter than they used to be.

            2. The actual cowhide/leather may not be the same as it used to be.

            3. This one is intriguing, but it could be a byproduct of using a clean pristine ball in play all the time. Back in the day balls didn't get thrown out seemingly on every other pitch like they are today and thus the balls wouldn't have so much "jump" to them.

I thought the talk about the seams was that they were higher, causing the inordinate amount of blisters.

#3 isn't the issue for this year. They've been throwing out baseball like trash for 15+ years now.

I would give up (at least) 5 of the top 10 Braves prospects for Stanton and I wouldn't ****ing think twice about it.

...so you'd mortgage the Braves' future for a guy who could opt-out after 3 years. Okay.

And didn't Stanton just clear waivers? He's amazing, obviously, but no team in baseball is taking on that contract without the Marlins paying down some of it.

If the farm system is as deep as the fetishists claim, then it shouldn't be too bad.

Either way it's pointless to say, since the Braves are a cheap organization locked into a terrible TV deal for 10 more years and they would never go close to a guy with Stanton's contract.

100% believe the baseball has been changed.

Pitcher velocities will also go up due to the lowered seams. Then the ball is coming off the bat faster.

                              Even players have discussed it

                              The ball is juiced

Can the juiced ball alone account for Justin Turner's last 3 years?

All this new found power late in his career?
