    Re: MLB Off-Topic

I do think one of the missing items in baseball is signature equipment. I think there is an opportunity for a shoe deal with some of these players...it's not difficult to have the same design for a basketball shoe as a cleat. Same thing with unique batting gloves, fielding gloves, etc...it seems there are so few unique items.

I know they have Trout and Bryce, even Jeter years ago, but that seems just to be cleat deals...I think it'd be cool to develop a shoe that was also a cleat. I bet there'd be a lot of kids who would see a cool shoe, find out it's a "Mike Trout" shoe then find out who Mike Trout is and start following him.

    Perhaps that's just me.

I agree. Not saying what he did was right, but he was a teenager. Teens tend to do and say stupid crap. Most will evolve with age which I am sure he has, but yeah................all bad.

I agree with you but if I became famous/public figure in some form i'm going to go over my social media and scrub out anything that would be close to controversial.

Those tweets weren't close to controversial they were out and out disgustingly bonkers.

Well, it was six+ years ago and there doesn't appear to be anything recent. As bad as it is, hopefully he's matured so now it's time to own it and prove you're a better man than when you posted those tweets.

I'd say the fact that he and Jeremy Jefress appear to be really good friend tells you all you need to know. Now will this change their friendship? Who knows.......guess we'll find out soon.

                        Per Bob Nightengale:

Brewers reliever Josh Hader said his racist and homophobic tweets were a sign of immaturity when he was 17 and plans to apologize to his teammates, saying they don’t reflect on him as a person now. ‘No excuses. I was dumb and stupid.

Good. Head on is the only way to face that. I do REALLY hate when people go through someone's social media just looking for anything wrong. Almost as much as I hate racism and bigotry.

I'm glad he faced the music and stated he'll accept any consequence but he definitely didn't seem prepared for the questions asked in his presser.

I got to say, it's nice to see Hader take it head on and not try to weasel out of any kind of responsibility. That right there shows that he's definitely matured a lot since that time.

Bravo to him for facing the music on this one.

This particular tweet was posted just two years ago, so I have my doubts that his opinion of people of color have changed all that much since then (or even from when he was 17).

Edit: People who followed him before he locked his account say that this tweet is a photoshop fake.
