I still don't think any rule proposal is as stupid as any proposal to regulate the shift in baseball. If the defense wants to lineup with everyone at 1b, let em.

They game is going to die if they don't make changes.
Smartphones were the catalyst to everything that is "short attention span" and "instant gratification" for our youth culture.

The game won't die per se, but if it did I'd rather it die on its feet than live on its knees. Yes, people will be content with the changes... but there is a tipping point to even the biggest devotees of the sport. Eventually you are changing its essence and nature. Not the DH part, and probably not the three batters part... but in other ways, it is possible they can lose me someday.

They seem to think this isn't possible. They shouldn't think like that forever. Do they have to cater to me? Of course not. I just don't think they should alienate the people who were fans from the beginning, though. It's like what SDS is doing to offline players in The Show. It's like what Disney is doing to many fans of the original Star Wars trilogy. The list goes on.

It's actually one of the only rule proposals that I wouldn't mind having in.

DH, pitch clock and 1 trade deadline should happen.

Expanded rosters I don't care about much.

3 batter minimum would be interesting, but I'd rather they just completely eliminate mound visits. Change pitchers all you want, but don't come spending 5 minutes a game talking to a guy on the mound.

Draft should stay the same. Baseball drafts are biggest luck based thing in all sports. There's no tanking in baseball. Do baseball fans get excited by losing because their team will get a top pick who could turn their franchise around? Obviously not. There's a difference between tanking and rebuilding.

Draft change which should happen is the international guys in it too.

Pretty much agree with all points that baseball doesn't need to change. The game just isn't for some people. That being said, I do think what we've seen over the last 10 years is very different than anything in the past, and those changes haven't made for a more exciting game. As a lifelong baseball fan the amount of dead time kills me sometimes. Part of it is the frequent pitching changes which I guess you can legislate, but most of it is just a change in philosophy. Even if they were shave 15 minutes off the game time with these changes (for arguments sake) it still wouldn't address the lack of balls in play.

Also just to reiterate. 1000000000000000% against DH in the NL. No No No

The rule change doesn’t bother me that much. The no DH rule I would rather keep NL as is, it’s fun watching the pitchers make fool of themselves or surprise the world with their power.

One thing I absolutely hate in baseball is the new opening strategy. I don’t agree with it. Also they need to ease up on the shifts. They’re going overboard with it now.

Doesn’t sound like any changes to the DH rule or the three batter rule are coming any time soon.

I'll even go further. One of the best players I've ever seen. Man hardly ever struck out and when he hit the ball, it was a screamer lol.

Edit: 7 more days. All pitchers and catchers.............
