I wonder why they didn't give him that last at-bat. Maybe he requested against it, but I'd be very surprised if so.Samsung PN60F8500 PDP / Anthem MRX 720 / Klipsch RC-62 II / Klipsch RF-82 II (x2) / Insignia NS-B2111 (x2) / SVS PC13-Ultra / SVS SB-2000 / Sony MDR-7506 Professional / Audio-Technica ATH-R70x / Sony PS3 & PS4 / DirecTV HR44-500 / DarbeeVision DVP-5000 / Panamax M5400-PM / Elgato HD60Comment

Padres announce that "Brown is back". Meaning they're going back to their old look.
I'm guessing their primary becomes their current SD brown cap logo?
Maybe alternate is a mix between their original logo and round San Diego Padres Baseball Club logo? Instead of SD in the middle of that, it's the Friar.
My guess:Attached FilesLast edited by Majingir; 10-10-2019, 05:24 PM.Comment

So this is fascinating:
The latest news and headlines from Yahoo! News. Get breaking news stories and in-depth coverage with videos and photos.
I have noticed the ball doesn't seem to be jumping at all like it did in the regular season; interesting to me that MLB would roll a "new" ball out for the playoffs. I tend to think it has more to do with sample size/better pitchers, but as we saw the last 2 years hitters had no problem blasting away then. Will be curious to see this data when the LCS/WS rounds are completed."People ask me what I do in winter when there's no baseball. I'll tell you what I do. The article mentions that this model adjusts for temperature, so that factor is accounted for.

Nobody. We had a rookie that broke HR records.(Pete Alonso) But nobody came close to Sosa, McGwire, Bonds etc..
So the league is hitting more homeruns then ever. But players aren't breaking any individual records.

The one thing that doesn't make sense to me, is with the juiced balls we didn't have anybody even come close to any HR records. Not even Stanton's mark of 59.

I think it’s because the ball doesn’t keep people in the lineup/from wearing down. This was what I always said was the benefit of PED’s; it kept hitters from wearing down as the summer wears on. That allowed hitters to keep their pace up. If you look at Bellinger, Freeman, etc, almost all of the hitters slowed down as the summer went on.
The ball increases homers for everyone, but individuals can’t keep up their pace.

It's too bad these stories always end up like this:
A Los Angeles Angels employee told federal investigators that he provided oxycodone to Tyler Skaggs and abused it with him for years, and also that two team officials were told about Skaggs' drug use long before his death, sources told ESPN.
Originally posted by ESPNA public relations employee for the Los Angeles Angels told federal investigators that he provided oxycodone to Tyler Skaggs and abused it with him for years, and that two team officials were told about Skaggs' drug use long before his death, according to two sources familiar with the investigation.
Eric Kay, the Angels' director of communications, also gave U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration agents the names of five other players who he believed were using opiates while they were Angels, the sources said.Chicago Cubs | Chicago Bulls | Green Bay Packers | Michigan WolverinesComment
