I have vague memories of Dunston. He was a pretty good guy in the field and had a solid, but unspectacular bat.

Here's a good illustration of his range at times

      Cool read: http://grantland.com/the-triangle/20...en-griffey-jr/

It's not particularly relevant to anything, but it's a pretty good nostalgia piece with some commentary on how aging veterans are viewed.

Yes, Dunston's arm was as good as advertised. Andrelton Simmons has a really good arm, and much more accurate than Dunston, but only Rafael Furcal has been close that I've seen from a pure velocity standpoint at SS.

54:45 for an example and a nice little yarn about Dunston's arm strength.

Colin Cowherd said some stupid stuff about Domicans and the PA isn't happy.

I hope the PA really comes down hard on this. Apparently it's not just the PA's that's upset. Jose Bautista is taking great offense to it as well.

Cowherd may very well have gone over the line to the point that he's hurt himself. All I can say is: I'm not sorry for him one bit.

HOF induction is this weekend. Great class headlined by Pedro Martinez. When you get a chance look at his 2000 season. 18-6 1.74 ERA (0.85 in wins and something like 2.27 in his 6 losses) 284 Ks. The next closest to him in ERA was Kevin Brown with a 2.54 and in the AL it was Clemens with a 3.70. His batting average against a measly .167 and a whip of .74. All during the height of the steroid ERA.

Phillippe Aumont has signed a minor league deal with the Blue Jays.

I am apologizing in advance for the potential harm he could inflict on that bullpen.

Man is horrible. Hope he and his career 6.80 ERA never make your big club.

Seems like the Jays are trying to shine up turds in hopes of shoring up the bullpen what with the minor league deal for Aumont and Joba.

No joke. Aumont may be the worst reliever I have ever seen in my life. Dude has such good stuff and he still doesn't know how to use it.

Cowherd's lost his ESPN gig and his FOX gig is probably in doubt big time now.

Finally his outlandish comments come back to bite him in the rear.

I think Cowherd tried to pull a George Costanza and get himself fired.

Cowherd was leaving ESPN in one week anyway. They probably giggled with glee as the outrage grew and they could put a taint on him before he went to their direct competitor.
